Community Guidelines
Effective date: September 3, 2026
HER-STEMisphere is built on trust. These community guidelines keep our women-in-STEM community safe for everyone. They apply to the mobile app, website, HERspace, messaging, mentorship, and related services. By using HER-STEMisphere you agree to follow them along with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Our standards
2. Who this community is for
HER-STEMisphere is a women-focused STEM community for members age 18 and older. Government ID (HERStem) verification is required for full access. Treat every member with dignity. Harassment, hate speech, impersonation, and unsafe behavior are not tolerated.
3. What is not allowed
You must not:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, dox, discriminate against, or sexually exploit anyone
- Post hate speech, graphic violence, child sexual abuse material, or content that promotes self-harm or illegal activity
- Impersonate another person, organization, or HER-STEMisphere staff
- Share others’ personal data, ID, or private messages without consent
- Misuse verification, mentorship, messaging, or anonymous posting
- Use the community for spam, unauthorized advertising, or to bypass safety controls
Anonymous HERspace posts hide your name and photo from other members. They do not hide authorship from administrators reviewing safety reports, and they do not waive responsibility for what you post.
4. Enforcement
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines or our Terms. We may preserve and report illegal content to appropriate authorities, including the NCMEC CyberTipline where applicable.
5. Report a concern
If you see something that puts a member at risk, speak up:
- In the app: More → Help & Support, or use in-app report tools on a post, profile, or conversation
- Email support@herstemisphere.com with the subject “Safety report”
We review reports as quickly as we can. Do not use reports to harass other members.
